Clas S.p.a. is an industrial manufacturer of pestos and pasta sauces. The large majority of the business is the production for national and international retailers and brands (private label).

Settled in 1989 in Imperia, Liguria – the region where pesto originates – the company has grown thanks to continuous investments and the capability to adapt to new market trends. Today, Clas is in the portfolio of a private equity fund and produces over 100 million jars for important brands, distributors, and retailers all over the world, 70% of the turnover comes from export in 60 countries. Despite its sales internationalization, the company keeps a strong link with the Ligurian territory by investing in integrated supply chain projects to ensure the best regional high-quality raw materials.

Clas is a reliable business partner, certified IFS and BRC. The company facilities include four production lines for finished products and one line for the transformation of fresh basil into semi-finished product.

The company strength is a flexible organization and the ability to customize the recipes to meet any client request, from low-price to premium targets. Innovation is crucial for the company, the R&D creates over 300 new recipes every year.
